Skills Development Scotland has announced a new funding scheme – Flexible 5000 - to support Scottish Businesses looking to invest in learning and development opportunities for their employees.
The Flexible 5000 initiative will fund 50% of the cost of training (up to a maximum value of £500 per employee maximum of 10 employees) which will improve workplace activity and help businesses through this period of economic recovery.

Businesses can apply for Flexible 5000 funding to pursue a wide range of learning and development and management training opportunities – with the exception of legislative or regulatory training programmes. Training is to be completed by 30 June 2012 with up to 10 employees from an organisation being able to undertake one episode of training each.
