Flexible 5000 Scheme
Skills Development Scotland has announced a new funding scheme – Flexible 5000 - to support Scottish Businesses looking to invest in learning and development opportunities for their employees.
The Flexible 5000 initiative will fund 50% of the cost of training (up to a maximum value of £500) which will improve workplace activity and help businesses through this period of economic recovery.
Companies can apply for Flexible 5000 funding if:
- They have 50 employees or less
- The business and employees participating in the training are based in Scotland
- The business is a privately run organisation (including sole traders, freelancers voluntary and not-for-profit status)
- The link between the training and business needs can be clearly identified
Businesses can apply for Flexible 5000 funding to pursue a wide range of learning and development opportunities – with the exception of legislative or regulatory training programmes. Up to 10 employees from an organisation can undertake one episode of training each.
